Thanks to everyone else for the kind words. It's good to see light at the end of the tunnel (cooling system and rear end need a bit of work) so I can focus 100% on driving the m42 as it was meant to be. At that point I may have to start washing twice a week though ;)

FWIW, I have never revved the car past 5.5k RPMs, even with the MarkD chip. A crime, I know.

next level is a wheel step up, better drop and more power.

I was considering 16's for a while since I've had a few inquiries about the current 15" setup, and it would make things easier regarding a brake upgrade down the road when I start autoXing again.

As for the drop, I've been waiting FOREVER for some 15mm drop hats from Richard (not a fan of the non-angled e90 hats). Hopefully he churns some out soon. They will go on with some Turner rack stop mounts since the tires rub right before full lock on the fender lining.

And as for power...yes, it really needs more. Not yearning too much these days as my commute to and from work finds me in 1st and 2nd gear mostly (downtown traffic).

Billie Sports and H&R races are the main players...the rest of the suspension/driveline mods include:

AKG 75D poly bushings all around, silence poly motor mounts, UUC 21/19mm sways, Turner front subframe reinforcement kit, THR eyeball arms, OEM front strut mounts, Turner billet RSMs with z3 reinforcement plates. Tranny mounts are OEM. That should sum most of it up haha.

Tisk tisk. M42s are fun to beat the piss out of....I have fond memories of driving a mountain road for about 15mins at 5k or higher, in a stock 318i to boot.
