Thanks guys! This has been an almost 4 year process so far, but entirely worth it. And for those asking about the wheel and knob, I wasn't really planning on selling quite yet, but feel free to pm me.88 325is - S52 powered

An update. What have we here?
To put the seat in: some massive brackets to mount to e30 sliders. (Thanks Lee!)
To stay in said seat: g-force 5 point harness
Test fit. Decided to just ditch the tan carpet I had. It was badly stained and still has coolant in it from my heater core shitting the bed months ago.
A little preview of what's to come for the interior
Julien helping with some tar removal. Still some more to do, but most of it's out of the trunk. I'm not bothering with the stuff in the cabin.
Bar in!
As she sits now, because racecar
I'll have some more updates this week, but this has made such a huge difference in how the car feels. Absolutely amazing.88 325is - S52 powered

Thanks guys! It's not going to be quite as serious as it looks right now, but is definitely getting more track oriented. For my autox classing I have to have full interior except the rear seat, so all of that will be going back in this coming week. Having the 4 point bar and harness will also allow me to compete in SCCA time trials, and with another couple things I think I can do hillclimbs as well. I'll try to get a couple of those in this year, but be looking at it more seriously in 2014.88 325is - S52 powered

It's been forever since I updated this thread and quite a bit has been done, though it doesn't really look too much like it. I went to VIR last September and had some issues with brake balance. I was overdoing the fronts and not getting enough from the rear. So, in the off season I decided that after 26 years maybe the rear calipers were due for a rebuild. While I was at it I threw in some IE brass bushings. Turns out one of the calipers was pretty well gunked up, the rebuild has helped tremendously.
I also was under the impression that maybe a stock 26 year old diff of unknown mileage might also be due for a refresh as well, so I had my stock s3.73 rebuilt with 40% lockup. Might as well paint the cover while its off too.
I pulled the rear subframe to more easily do the rear wheel bearings. And while we're at it, why don't we add some IE weld in camber and toe adjusters?
Everything reassembled and ready to be installed.
Since everything else has been refreshed it was probably time to replace the unknown mileage driveshaft as well. Rebuilt unit from Bimmerworld with serviceable u-joints. (Old core in box for return)
Since this car is progressing towards being a track rat, some gauges are in order. What have we here? A Podi system with water temp, oil temp, oil pressure, and voltage. It's installed, but I haven't gotten a pic yet.
I also have had terrible cavitation issues with my car. I have replaced every part of the fueling system (tank, pump, screen, filter, all hoses, fuel rail, and FPR), but still couldn't run with with less than 1/2 a tank before having fuel cutout on right hand turns. I couldn't even get 2 full sessions at VIR without cavitating, and autox was even worse. So, the solution? A surge tank setup. Picked this up from Integrated Engineering, paired with a Bosch 044. At an autox earlier this year I ran the car to damn near empty, and at the end of runs had the fuel gauge pegged to E with no issues. I still need to get pics of it installed, but for now this will do.
Not pictured: in the off season I found a guy locally with J-stock springs sitting in a box in his garage. Turner still has NOS shocks and struts, so I picked those up to complete that part of the suspension. I doubt I'll ever find legit J-stock sways, but I'm already running larger sways with adjustable links so I don't think that would matter much to overall performance. The difference from the IE3's is night and day, and for the better. Except for streetability. Kinda sucks there.
And how she sits now, with Julien's sedan.
And at the last autox.

Just realized I forgot some other stuff too. There was a local dyno day last November where I threw my car on just for kicks. Well, it put 218hp to the wheels, which is way low. An e36 M3 there with only an intake and M50 manifold put 225 to the wheels... My AFR's looked fine, but my guess was that I wasn't getting enough fuel. I had rust in my tank and had replaced it, but thought maybe some had made it through the filter and slightly clogged the injectors.
So, I pull the injectors out and they are green, as I expected the 24# Bosch to be. However, I ran the part # and found that they were 17#'s from the M50... Modded S52 running smaller than stock injectors... Thanks PO. So, I found someone here selling some 24#'s and sent them to MEPEH to be rebuilt before putting them in. I also figured that since the car ran perfectly with the smaller injectors a new tune was in order to properly manage the increased full flow. I hit up TRM for a new tune and the car feels amazing. Power is much more linear and the car pulls much harder. I haven't put it back on the dyno, but I'm guessing that the car is now back in line with other S52 cars.88 325is - S52 powered

Thanks guys. Econti, F34R is correct, though I sold the RX's a while back. I now have 2 sets of Arc 8's, hyper black and anthracite. One for street tires and one for R comps.88 325is - S52 powered
