    New to the E30 world.

Since before I was able to drive knew I wanted an E30. Thanks to a well paying job and a supportive wife; I am now able to fulfill that dream.

I found my 1991 325i in Phoenix, Arizona. I've always been a fan of convertibles, so I found this E30 more than well fitting.

138k original miles (Odo still works)
A/C blows cold (a must in AZ!)
    Top works decently.

Now i drove the car home from Phoenix to Tucson, AZ, with no problems at 75 to 80 mph. While in Tucson it became my DD. Two days after purchase it began to over heat, as it spilled coolant like there was no tomorrow :(.

Luckily I have a buddy who showed me the way, and the ongoing journey to have my dream back on the road began.

          Nice e30.

Well paying job for an e30? Was this post intended for 1991 or is this a project?

I payed 2K for it. I actually ran a CarFax on it, and it came back with two previous owners (Both in the SouthWest = Rust Free!), and an average of 7K miles a year. Always garaged with no accidents.

But the previous owner neglected it a bit. The car has had an oil leak problem for some time. Also when I bought it, it came with neon light bars all around!

                      The plan:
                      - Replace water pump, Timing belt, all other belts, radiator hoses to silicone hoses, clutch fan to electrical fan, spark plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, starter (since we're there), some vacuum hoses, numerous gaskets and seals

Auto, but I'm OK with that right now.

Took the intake and valve cover to a machine shop (Motor Works in Tucson, AZ) for some cleaning. Next will be Powder Coating :)
