    My non E30

Hello, Ive been a member for awhile and thought i would throw this up. I have had the car since new, I actually looked at a 318iS and this at the same time. This car at the time did everything better and was cheaper so I went this route. I didnt have the cash at 21 to buy a new 325iS. It has been a rock solid car that has went through tons of changes. Right now its at stock height with stiffer struts (AGX). You cant lower these like a e30 they only had 3 inches of travel from teh factory. It is possible to I just wont beat the hell out of myself like I did when I was younger. BTW i traded a ae86 in on this in 91...lol what a dummy.

It has a Nardi wheel, 350z pedals, Kenwood excelon system, and some nismo trinkets in the interior. Motor has some Jim Wolf cams, and reflash, stillen intake and exhaust and some small nismo goodies under the hood. Ill have it forever and to me it looks similar to an e30. Im in the market now but im picky so I might hold out until summer and search from my e30 M3 Ive wanted since 88.

and this is my cruiser, my grandpa bought it new it has 58k original miles he gave it to me years ago it sits in a garage most of the time

Well in 91 this car was faster, lighter, has a limited slip 8k rpm redline, was 4k cheaper. I dont regret my choice It still brngs a smile to me every time i drive it. It was lowered. If you knew these cars you would know how hard it is getting a decent spring for them. H/R, Eibach you name it are all not stiff enough. The only people that make a decent setup is progress (read exspensive and hard to find) and shortened Konis with a super rare spring by a company called Hyperco again really exspensive. The car will surprise you and any of you that dont know the SR20 this car came with it was worlds better in 91 then the 4 banger in the 318. It has all poly bushings and good struts on it now. Im 41 I wont sacrifice comfort for looking cool no more.

I vote you buy an e30 now, they are much more affordable then when they were new. And...you can get a "cool" look and good ride at the same time.

You dont see the similarities? they are the general 3 box shape and style, they have very similar length, wheelbase etc etc and this car is 2300 lbs. And it will still run with a 318 (its compeitor) on a auto-x HPDE track all day long. I know i do both. BTW car and driver picked this over the 318 in 91-91;)

Dont get me wrong I love the e30 and I will get one i am just particular on what I want. Like i said if i wait until summer I will probaly have funds for a e30 M3 and I will have both cars then.

We get lots of snow and Ice here in missouri my friend and in 91 I was looking at bang for my buck and something that could get me through the bad weather. If i was in Cali like you my choice might of been different;)

They are so diffrent and alot of folks on here wont get it but being u have a F body in your sig you will, If i cant find a decent e30 m3 next summer a grand national is on my list

Good looking Nissan. I have had quite a few Nissans but never one with an SR20. :( Most of mine had a KA24DE and one V6. My current Nissan has a KA24DE (2001 Altima). I really like the older G-Bodies. A buddy of mine has an 87 or 88 Grand National T-Type and is really nice.
