Elbow grease - lots and lots of elbow grease. I think there is some potential in there somewhere. Bilsteins sports are a good start!

I'm sure after a good power wash and proper buffing, it'll come out looking nice on the exterior...however..go into the interior wearing a mask and gut the living shit out of it. Even the bits of the interior that look good...its all shit. This is going to be really nice when done.

It wasn't actually used as a U-Boat, the water damage is due to a leaky roof and is confined to the interior, I don't think the dash even got wet, just seats, carpet, maybe door panels.

                Good idea on the mask.

Lots of other good advice and some inspiration, thanks guys. I think I'm done destroying the bent rim for now, so maybe I can get the interior out today.

Anybody know where to get a nice Mille Miglia HT-3-16 ET37?

problem is that the interior acts as a bathtub, and all wiring and connections that run against, near, or under the carpet are now suspect and can cause massive headaches to repair and track down. under the hood also shows signs of being wet, and the signs of corrosion that I see on the front end shot (kidneys peeling, and rust under the paint on the valance) show that the car has been at least exposed to a marine environment. Care and prudence will allow for a good final outcome, but beware of phantom problems that WILL crop up when things are exposed to moisture for extended periods of time

Thanks, good advice. I took another look at the front, the kidneys aren't peeling, and the valence has no visible rust. I am wondering what the floor will look like.

I'm not a fan of engine bays with webs in there. Too many VERY close calls with Black Widows while working on customer's cars at work. I suggest spraying some spider killer pesticide in your engine bay before you do anything in there. Would suck to be hospitalized just from doing basic maintenance on your vehicle. (I see you bought a pressure washer...but if you have Black Widows, they are VERY strong, and hide in areas where the water can't get them usually)

Hey__You said it, taking my Z apart after eight years of sitting I not only hated spiders more then ever but I also gained a new found hate for pineneedles...

Anyhow looks like you found gold! That car is in good enough shape you can now do whatever you want with it. I would just make sure you have a solid plan on exactly what you want to do with it then go hard.

There's gotta be a M20 underneath all that shit, dead leaves and cob webs. Is that a Brilliantrot? Sell me the hood and I'll give you a new nifty lip to put on it. :)

Lots of cleaning and replace fluids, g2g.
