there you go, i have no plans of doing anything like that.
if i go sub it would only be one 12"
the civic was done to get the rice out of me so that I could work on this car without it looking like total crap. and mod it tastefully

again though for the 10th time just so no one says it the blue looks A LOT better in person.

oh the subject of your car, since it's such a "wild" color, maybe you'd consider a Rieger Infinity front spoiler instead of the standard is lip. it would be more "wild" than stock but still look pretty clean. (sorry, i'm definetly biased towards the rieger lip!)

well my buddy etasport has the reiger front lip and i would do it but the car would sit 1" lower with that on compared to the is front lip and that would make the car LOW.

at least i'm pretty sure that the height of the reiger vs. is is an 1" taller
correct me if i'm wrong though cuz i'm not certain.

Im glad this thread didnt go downhill. I agree with most of whats been said. When I drove up to this car, it was just BAM, look at that blue car, but it had its fair share of issues and obviously it was mainly stock. From where the car was on day one, to where it is now has been a good improvement. That said, it needs some work, but it isnt done yet.

I think a body color reiger would look good on the car, along with smooth valance, and new fogs. I do think you should get some 16" wheels.
          Old and improved:

It's a little more than an inch lower, and it's also swept forward so it scrapes a lot more. It'd look good on that car body color, but you'd need side skirts.

TJ's car doesn't seem very stock to me; it's tastefully and subtly modded. It is more complete than most cars on this forum. BTW, I guess you just like wheel gap...I think the drop/stance on his car is perfect.

everyone that says stuff like that is so teh gaysors. are you his best friend? do you even know TJ? why are you getting in on their little mini-argument?

                It doesn't matter.

anyway, I think your car will look good once you get teh rough spots smoothed out.

ok now i'm confused but yeah your right TJ, i do need sides i think either way though,
I'm thinking if i go with reiger lip then something like RD sides would look good but i like the stock IS sides more. but i guess i'll have to decide what to use, the wilder style might look better on the car so thats prolly what i'll go with.

I think the car looks good. Wasnt that for sale in VA not too long ago? I was considering going to take a look at it, but I already have some work needed to be done to my E30, I figured Ill blow money on another once this is completed.

I do think the paint is too loud for the cars current state, but its a work in progress, I am sure you will make the best of it. You used to own a 7th gen Civic before this car? Were you a member of www.7thgencivic.com? I had a tastefully done up 7th gen Civic until a mexican decided to hit me head on in a parking lot totalling my baby. I got over that car quick once I bought my E30 though. This car is more fun in so many different ways. I just gotta get this handling thing down first and foremost.

Oh, and as far as the blue argument goes...

Laguna Seca Blue > any other blue

Now that I think about it... RD sides would be damn near perfect looking matched up with a Rieger lip.

It's been a while since I saw pics of your Civic. It's sick as hell, I actually really love that look. If it were 5 speed and had different rims maybe, I'd be one of the best 7th gens I've ever seen.

TJ's car is just about the lowest E30 on the forums (check his fender heights). It IS too low from a performance standpoint, but he has smooth roads and manages to live with it. On a track, his car would likely be bottoming mess. But that's not the intent of the suspension hardware, and I'm sure he knows that.

thanks i would probably be keeping the civic if it was a 5-speed thought about swaping it but too much work to do it to that car for some reason.

yeah i really like the RD sides and reiger front but i might need to raise it a little, or i guess a splitter would help out on the scrapage.

I've driven fairly fast on Sebring International (up to about 80, instead of about 110 if I were actually lapping) and didn't have any issues. Autocrossing it's fine too. But bottoming out isn't the real issue, its just that the suspension geometry is fucked when the car is this low. My front control arms are facing upwards, and they certainly weren't designed to do that. Bump steer is bad, and my rear isn't as low as some people around here but there is a bit of rear toe in as well.
