Ya... BUT YOUR MY BOY BLUE!
Brakes look damn good dave, Jay just saw my car for the first time a couple weeks ago. I think it convinced him to get the Breyton rear. Guys, Im not sure if yall remember but that hood and those mirrors were the ones that were on Alex Mchenrys car way back. They still look fresh as hell. I know a couple local guys that would kill for the hood, me included. Jay I still need the window tirm and pop out windows. Dave your in Boone now right? Night fellas. Yall give me a call.

Originally posted by sidewaysdaveTJ, those wheels are pretty fucking clean compared to when i first got them they were powder coated in brake dust. thanks for the help on paint selection. and as to the intermediate lines we couldnt get to them. they will be done at a later date in the next couple of months when we go to jay's shop and have the tools and the time to drop the rear subframe.

Originally posted by DigitalwaveGet those intermediate lines on as soon as you can. With any rubber left in the system you aren't gaining any benefits from the SS less until you eliminate all the flex.
The inner surface area of the rubber lines is directly linked to the amount of distension in the entire braking system. We decreased the overall surface area by say 80% and that decreased the total line distension accordingly. We also rebuilt the calipers and drained and flushed the entire system so a second bleeding session will be in order after some mileage and heat cycles when the remaining air collects in the calipers.

Originally posted by DigitalwaveI am aware of the benefits, I have SS lines and rebuilt calipers as well. I am just saying that there is still rubber in the system, so those 2 rubber lines are going to flex more than ever now that you eliminated the rest of the flex.
So, I would believe that the lines are flexing in the same measure as before, unless my reasoning is off. Now if we had changed the brake proportioning I could see a difference in flex due to the higher or lower percentage of pressure applied to the rear at the split, causing higher or lower internal line pressures.
