photowhore of the 324td touring +/- 5 megs of pix

I decided to wash/wax her today. Wax in france, like everything else here, it's weak and didn't do shit. anyways, i took a couple pix of her to make bokes jealous. I took a cpl euro-specific photos for all you euro parts whores as well. picked up a bunch of new parts when i was in belgium from Axel (bavarian bimmer.. aka Dr. Mtech.) he is the man, and if he had tits, i'd marry him. seriously, he's hooked me up with soo many parts.. and beer :-D!! apart from that, here are the photos of the 1991 324td

Driving in the country side can be tricky :-D

    All clean...

New cloth sport seats from Axel.. nearly perfect condition!!

    Front..

Nice clean engine... note the fuel filter, the injector pump (whose pulley sits where the "aux" shaft sits in a m20) and relocation of the windsheild washer container.

    Note teh hot turbo :-) T3 60 trim +/- 17PSI

Cerwin Vega "euro dins" components that i "custom" installed in the rear doors.. great sound.

Nearly perfect interior -just ignore the drivers side bolster :-/

My e30 vs a bunch of euro shitboxes.

    Ass.

My two knees. haha. actually, look on the lower left side of the cluster.. there are 3 lights there that don't exist on gas clusters. from left to right.
[Glow plug] light (stays on 1-3 secs when the car is cold.. must wait for it to turn off before starting the car).. once it is off the light to it's right turns on... next light over is [Diesel pressure].. it turns on in the AM and when there is water in the line.

Virgin panel (no window switches..) and look above the radio, that is the rear WW switch - the SOB lights up green though, wtf?!?!

    Rear windsheild washer filler hole.

Rear head rests, thanks to axel!

And there you have it ladies. Its not that slow at all.. allll torque :-)

I like the rear window spoiler and the switchless center console a lot.

Something else i found very interesting is the hose that connects towards the rear of the valve cover.. it is for the power brakes. My understanding is that unlike other cars, this car has a positive crankcase pressure, and the brakes need negative pressure (or do i have those two swapped?) but anyways, there is an extra lobe on the crankshaft that connects to a pump to create the proper pressure.. that is why there is that box on the intake.

What kind of fuel economy do you get with the diesel? Our 300TD benz had those funky glow plug lights. I dont remember that car too much except when we first got it, it was pea green, and smelled funny. Its a shame my aunt's friend seized it after we sold it.
