To top it off, that wasn't a run of the mill 300c, that was the SRT8 model, with the 6.1 litre V8. I think he was trying to give the CTS-V driver a run for his money in the idiocy department.

I think I had a grand total of 3 clean laps this weekend, maybe. Way too many cars on track, and Sunday's "incident" certainly didn't help my mood. But hanging out with you guys was great, we gotta do this again.

Yea, I got the big blingin rims yo! Dave, nice find of the pic of the mustang with me in it. My first school will probably be Rites of Spring in April. Fun time with everybody this weekend. Definitely need to do this a couple more times. And Charlie... at least it was an e30, not the corvette that went off the front straight. e30's are cheap ;)

Yeah, while most of my performance this weekend was attributable to my lack of skill going into it, there was a little element always sticking in the back of my mind that I did NOT want to crack up my car. When I got loose coming through Turn 2 in the Second Session on Saturday, that didn't help things either.

Besides the fact thats its not running right now, it was hauling serious ass down the straight.

well, the extra 50 lbs making a difference is all horseshit, plain and simple. I knew it putting the motor in, and I knew it after this weekend. People who claim the motor changes how the car feels are fucking morons. Look at any DM or CM e30, and look at the weight distro on the cars, then you will know what I mean. The car handled amazing, just like last time.
Even with the m20 motor, my car had 54/46 F/R weight distro from having the rear tar gone, no rear tire, and A/C delete on the m20.

My motor is a non-vanos with pulleys, injectors, AA Chip, headers, and AC/Fan delete. The biggest difference is the cam timing thats in the motor. I really dont like to post this crap, but I was able to pull Alex down the front straight, and he didnt have an instructor. That is the speed difference between the m20 and my m50.

I have been having troubles with a sensor or something for the past month, but the problem is so intermittent that I cant get a set of conditions that make it happen. Charlie was with me when it happened at Putnam. Basically, the car stumbles, backfires, and wont rev up. Then, it clears back up, and runs fine all within a few minutes. If I clean the MAF, it runs fine for 5 minutes, and then runs like shit again. Who knows, I need to fix it this weekend.

Looks like fun, but was getting a little crowded at times.

I'm heading to Homestead/Miami on Oct 23 for an event, can't fucking wait.

                                Great post Skafrog.
Hope your motor gets back to 100% asap.
Your problem sounds like the ghosts inside of my old cars m20.

On another note, anyone know who the guy with the black E30 is?
Yellow tape on lights, and yellow windshield banner?
