Got my roof rack today, i'm going to go to lowes or a lumber yard thursday and see if i can find some wood i like. I plan on keeping only the feet, here are some pictures of me just kinda messing around to see how bikes would look on top and what not. I want to try and fit three bikes up there, don't know how i'm going to mount them yet. Any ideas let met know

I bought some wood for my roof rack, i piced up some pine. I know it's not as strong as oak or some other woods, but i tried to snap a piece over my knee and had no luck, so i think it will be good for the weight i plan on putting on it. Only about 75 pounds max. The wood
13 pieces of wood was about $20
all the stainless steel nuts and bolts about $20
roof rack was $45 shipped off ebay.
                  Stain was $7
                  Brush was $7
I already had sand paper, hand sander, table saw to rip the wood.
All together i'm at about $99 could be a little cheaper, i'm just thinking of the prices off the top of my head.
Here is some of the planks cut and getting sanded/holes drilled

I wanted see what the stain kind of looked like. so i did a a couple pieces with just one coat.
I picked a red color stain, so hopefully it turns out good. More pictures when it's finished. Oh exhaust should be on this week too. Will upload a video of how it sounds
