Hey all,
I use to own a shitty 323i L-Jet that had been abused all it's life and I've finally gotten rid of it.. and replaced it with a silver 1989' 325iS.
Only 180 325iS' came to Australia, 140 being manual, and only 40 being automatic. To go in further depth, I was told only 8 - 12 were this colour.
I love it!
BEFORE ANYONE SAYS ANYTHING, YES THOSE PLATES SAY MY-85-BM. IT IS AN 89 MODEL BUT THEY WERE OFF MY OLD 85 323i!!
-Car has 135,000 genuine kilometres on the clock.
-Sadly it's an automatic, but I'm ripping all the manual gear out of my 323 and putting in here.
-17" BBS RS. 8.5" front and back, I'm not much for stance.
- Miller MAF conversion, chipped.
- Upgraded cams, 272 degree? Previous owner put it in. Idle is lumpy as hell.
- Engine bay in mint and clean, so is the body.
- Extractors and high flow cat.
- 20% window tints.
- Owned by a BMW mechanic of 30 years, for 10 years previously to me buying it.
- Tinted the indicators and smoked the head lights (smiley projectors!)
- Blacked out kidneys.
- Sitting on super lows.
Plans?
- Coilovers, doing it right.
- Manual conversion eventually when I get some time off work.
- Hold on, look after and maintain the car for the next year or two to begin a turbo conversion. [here in NSW, Australia, we can't drive turbo, supercharged or high performance (V8+) vehicles until we are off our P (provisional) license. I have 18 months to go.]
I'll chuck some more pictures up soon, but it has the full recaro leather interior with manual sunroof, premium sound etc etc. Car is such a nice drive.
In terms of low end it's a bit slow but once it hits 3/3.5k it really kicks in, must be the cams. I'm probably going to consider stroking it, possibly 2.7 bottom end to really get the low end happening. All wishes though.
Criticism welcomed :)
Regards,
Nick
