Turboz timez. Started working today after lunch

Removed both manifolds (exhaust manifold was a PITA)
Painted my new intake mani
Took off the oil pan to make an oil drain pipe for turbo
Took off the oil filter and drilled it to make an oil feed.
Removed the exhaust





oh and i've got this huge ass intercooler from a e28, still trying to figure out if i'll be able to squeze it in e30.

yup. Using a large turbo from e28 (e30s came with a lot smaller ones), raising the boost up to 20 psi, adjusting the fuel, putting on the intercooler and doing some other stuff to the fuel pump. Should be at around ~180hp.

lol, yeah, diesels. But the torque figures will be impressive. Good thing it doesn't need any internal work done to it to hold that kind of boost.
honestly i'll be glad if i'm able to smoke m50's and still be able to get great mpg's/run on used veggie oil

looks tough, i like it. I would probably touch up with aerosol paint where theres chips and things but its being picky i guess!

Had some time to work on the car today.

Painted the valve cover too


Mounted the exhaust manifold/turbo


Made some flanges for oil, tapped the oil filter for feed


Mounted the intercooler/connected all the piping. Had to do a bit of cutting up on the rad support, but i'm really happy with how it worked out.


Adjusted the fuel pump a bit. Turbo pumps have a thing called LDA, which is activated once the boost comes up. It pushed the diaphragm/fueling pin down, thus adding more fuel. My NA pump needed some modifications for LDA to function. Swapped the breather valve from the top of the diaphragm to the bottom, and drilled/tapped a hole for a valve, which is then connected to the intake manifold.




and last but not least. Decided to paint the valence since it's already off. Cut the vents out too to allow more air circulating through the intercooler/rad.



Things left to do:
connect the downpipe, weld in straight 2,5 or 3,0 exhaust
put on my remus mufler
connect the boost gauge
tune the fuel pump/boost pressure
finish painting the valence
