and I can replace parts with OEM spec parts, but I can not do much upgrading. if its something that makes the car more reliable, typically I can, but if it increases HP, torque, or my red line, not really. however, there are ways to bend the rules and my uncle drag raced for 30 some years and is a motor genius and theres a lot you can do with tuning a motor to make good hp, even with all stock parts.

nice...
I also used to tinker with Jeeps, own an SBC (assuming you mean "small British cars"), and have an '85 318 - but for Rallycross. And I'm in No Va. as well.
Let me know if you need anything, I have a good stash of early/M10 parts sitting around. Come this winter I'll also have a nicely-running M10/G240 and all accessories available (plus an extra M10 head and block, and an extra G240).
Yes, I am doing an M42 swap but it's only because the M42 is better for the rallycross application.
I may run the rallycross car in some autocross this summer though, so let me know if you're going to any events.Stage rally/rallycross e30 build/competition journal

I've autocrossed the last 2 seasons with BMWCCA (in a WRX). What club are you running with - SCCA, AI, CDC, NCC?Stage rally/rallycross e30 build/competition journal
