Hey everyone Im James & just picked up my first e30 Its a 85 325e , had a e36 m3 few months back but did the money shift & bombed the motor so took my loss & sold due to needing a car,so lately was stuck driving a econobox civic. So someone told me about a dude who owns a shop that was selling his old Auto-x car for 1500$. I was very quick to check out the car once he told me all the goodies. LMK what you guys think.


85 325e owner said 300k + on motor & body Runs great lets off a little puff of smoke on start up.

Mods :
IE stg3 race springs
Bilstein Shocks all around
Front Camber plates
Front & rear IE Strut bars
Front & rear lower IE sway bars With adjustable endlinks
Full Poly bushings threw out the car
Stainless Brake lines
Slotted rotors
Aftermarket stainless header
Aftermarket Full exhaust
Bottle caps 5mm spacers all around
4.10 rear end "the highway drive home SUCKED!"
Plastic bumper conversion.
Varrstoen T1's 16x8 +25 But running 5mm Spacers on all four so +20

Thats all i can think of at the moment, im sure there is more.

Also Already have a set of wheels that i was gonna throw on my civic but never did. Mocked one up in the rear & looked like ima need a little more tire for it to look to proper.

These came in today :) 84 Euro 323i rods & pistons For my high comp build, hopefully picking up a local 885 head this weekend.

they are 16x8 +25 all around & i already have 5mm spacers if needed think the fitment should be pretty good. Just like i said looked like it coulda used a lil more tire like a 50 series . They are 195/45/r16's now.

They are actually Varrstoen T1's.
Yeah man it was nuts, thankfully the drive home was only about 15 miles. But yeah i was at like 4500 Going like 60-65, shits worse than the Itr tranny i had in my old hatch. But the car was Used for auto x so im guessing thats why?
Ill be on the market for a Different diff when i do the axles.

If you are blowing smoke already, I would be in the market for another spare motor for when yours decides to give out. THEN worry about the other stuff.

Your car has 88-91 "plastic bumpers" retrofitted. The 84-87 had metal "diving boards" stock. Your car is clean, keep up the good work!

ahh gotchya yeah i was trying to figure out all the bumpers & shit when i was shopping around cause i hate the metal bumpers, The front & back bumper could us a lil aligning but its only noticeable if you really look at them .

word ill let you know trying to decide if i wanna do the 2.7i build or just pick up this local 2.5 swap. From what i read seems the 2.7i is better for boost.
