so the lolly pop on the floor? or does the pan hit first?

also, if you got tree-house lolly pops you would be able to go lower till the frame rails hit as they are much smaller.(may have to grind off the lil tabs on the arms as well) all assuming that you raise up the pan so it clears the sub frame.

i REALLY want you to take multiple shots of the geometry on the arms/ tie-rods/ and sway end links.(if they are still attached) please :) i wanna see how everything changes when it airs out.

    you have my respect.

edit* if the shots could be done on stock wheels it would be very helpful also. This way people can see a e30 that is only lowered on bottle caps. (although i believe the fenders would sit on the tires) may need a smaller side wall on them

Not one for teasers in fact I think they are stupid but work is slow so here's a shot from yesterday. My very good friend Mike Barry working some camera magic.

CHIF8008 I'll try my very best to take shots of suspension components. I'll try to post a detailed update Tuesday.

SOOOOO fucking bad ass!! How high does it go up?

I'm still waiting to hear how much your buddy would charge to get a setup like this done again. I'm really curious how the setup will hold up in the snow and cold weather. Would this be able to be outdoors and DD in the winter? I've always was curious about airride.

The car has been bagged. This post will cover most of the details regarding the install. If anyone has any questions I'll try my best to answer them if not they will be passed onto Misha, the mastermind behind this install.

            IMG_4013 by misha/rat4life, on Flickr

It started off with this. A very simple set up. A basic analog set up with 4 valves 2 switches setup and one gauge monitoring front and rear air pressure, a 3gal tank, and viair 400 compressor to take care of managment. The suspension itself is comprised of aerosports bags over shortened strut housings with passat B3 inserts and mk5 top bearings/mounts fronts and airhouse1 rears with stock shocks in the back.

            The management:

Fabricating began with the rear. It would be less work then the front and since finding another mk5 front strut mount was near impossible with tons of VW friends it seemed like our only choice to get the ball rolling.

            IMG_4040 by misha/rat4life, on Flickr

Onto the fronts. we used b3 passat struts because 3 simple reasons: they work, they sit lower, and they are cheap.

stock wheels werent going to work without spacers.

            IMG_4060 by misha/rat4life, on Flickr

solution to that find better fitting wheels.

            and down.

for shits and giggles.. Misha, the legend.

Awesome build man just went through it, I just had a few questions man. I've had and been around bagged trucks, which is a little different. I'm not to familiar with the front, the rear seems simple enough. It looks like the shortened Passat strut acts as a mount for the functional front strut and bag, is that how it is?

                      9/27/12 update:

                      tucked the bumpers

smoked turn signals/eyebrows and removed the foglights:

then went and bought a monowiper kit from vac motorsports. tackled this install but what a bitch. never again lol but it was totally worth it in my opinion.

how i ended up having it.

finally replaced the faded and dated emblems.

                      now off to h2o!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
