My Intro to E30's (Not to bmw's though!)

Well, this is my kinda intro to R3V. (sorry if this is in the wrong section!)

Anyways, i've got my 89 325i, Titanium Silver (repainted from delphin by PO)
Its my 3rd BMW, first being a 97 328is, and then my 97 M3/4/5. Loved them both,but i decided that a change of pace would be cool!

if i ever get an e36. it needs to be a calypso 328is 5speed with black interior.

oil pan + parking block = sad



Needs:
oil pan, oil pan gasket, SKIDPLATE?????????????????????

so my NEW car is already out of commission for the meantime, i guess while im fixing it, i may as well go through some other preventative maintenance.

-coolant flush
-oil change (DUH)
-Valve cover gasket

Any of you guys got opinions on what oil, gaskets, and coolant choices?
Im partial to just using BMW blue coolant, but for oil im not too sure. Ill just use search! haha
Also paper vs cork vs rubber gasket?
