Car is lookin' fantastic. A few questions though, did you do a single stage paint job on the car or did you go base/clear? Also can you explain to me how the #19 injectors are better or the reason for them? I am new at the e30 and any information is useful.

It's a base clear paint job! And the #19 injectors seemed to have woken the motor up, and given it a little more response and some noticeable power. But also the chip is extremely helpful.

Coming back to it, there has been some changes to the vehicle.

Documenting hasn't been first priority because school was coming up and I needed to get all my ducks in order so maybe I'll just picture dump what I have!

But listing what I have done in the mean time is:

So here goes in somewhat order..

This is where the new tear down begins, I'm pulling all of my suspension to replace with Megan Racing Coilovers that I had bought from dubsport87 for a fantastic price!

Since I have the struts out and what not to weld in the coilovers (which I didn't get any documentation of) I might as well get the control arms over with.

Now I don't have any pictures of installing the bushings, or actually, I don't have any installing pictures for that fact. But oh well. And for whoever buys the IE delrin CAB the arrow points the opposite way of conventional bushings, so arrow away from notch.


This day was rolling fender day for me and a friend so we could both knock it out while I had rented a roller.

And then me being a smart guy, decides to start my injectors and it starts to freaking rain:hitler:



Getting the chip in, it's almost an eerie feeling the first time you pull this thing apart. I'm tickling with her brain:-(

For those who doubt or skeptical on doing this it's a fantastic improvement for M20's! The motor feels awake, although I have a massive exhaust leak right outside the headers, I can feel the powaahhh. Just kidding it's still an M20, but better.


Me and the same friend proceeded the next day to take pictures. I hadn't messed with the height to where I exactly want it so the ride height is still a little funky aesthetically, but still looks good. What do you guys think of his wagon?

School was creeping closer so I put my red46 plate on and that was a hassle in itself, but no pictures yet again

But I did get distracted with my side project, the roof rack;)
Yes this one hanging here, the three bars welded together by a chump, me, and painted by my friend.


I had finally bought wood to put on top and more carriage bolts and after much careful measuring, cutting, and drilling I got it to here.





Then Proceeded to stain the wood with a cherry stain, turned out better then I thought!






I didn't have much time to take detailed pictures of the rack complete on the car right after it was done because the next day I spent the day raising the car to come over the mountains to school, but here's one with the car raised.

And there we are, ready to go off to college! I have lived in this house my whole life, caught my passion for cars here, and built this car here. It goes without saying it was a hard move but I had too. I didn't take any crazy car picture stops because the drive ended up lasting 6 hours instead of 4 and we needed to get to Grand Junction.

But I'm proud of her for making it the farthest I have ever taken her from home!!!






And the last thing I have done before the cars progress is at idle, drop her back down:letitout:
I got some pretty weird looks doing this in the dorm parking lot lol



Also I pulled one of the adjusters out of the rear, per side, so this is the lowest I've had the rear end.



They're like hot wheels to cars these days...



Then me and the GF took a drive up the Colorado National Monument. By far the best driving road I have ever been on. You can drive so free spirited without getting too crazy and the view is something out of a brochure.











And that should be that for the updates on Rosy. She's just sitting around being lazy in the parking lot lol. I miss getting in her everyday and starting her up, but I'm on the college grind now. She's my release for all of the tension I build up at school so I'm happy for that. But for comparing sake, here's a comparison of beginning to now:

Also, tomorrow I'm picking up the Harbor Freight tool that works for pressing out and in the rear wheel bearings if you need to borrow it in the future.
