Apart from that I did my rear subframe two weekends ago:
Condor Mount Bushings, IX diff, IE toe/camber adjusters and the whole get up has 53,000 miles on it.

Removing the drive shaft flange from the diff flange was a bit of a challenge for me..
Soon learning how to collapse the drive shaft I got that biotch.

Now dropping the whole subframe was a bitch.. I didn't use any liquid wrench or any other treatment to loosen the sucker out of the car the night before. I resorted to lifting and smashing down the trailing arms over and over and finally ended up standing and bouncing on the hubs to get the sucker to come out, in the process I did this.

I had broken the old driver side subframe mount bushing sleeve off in the car because it was siezed in there.

SAM_0218 by eberlcoezack, on Flickr[/IMG]
With a trip to Home Depot and $5 later, we made a removing tool. 5/8" bolt, a torch, and a long piece of all thread. Heated up the aluminum sleeve and smashed the bolt in there while turning and got about 3 or 4 threads in. Then from inside the car I took a hammer and the all thread and dropped it through the top, and started hammering, and boom!

Seeing as this is me and my dads largest car related project we have ever done in our non-pneumatic, small garage, this sight was a good feeling as well as slightly scary.

After this point it was getting late and I scurried to get the car done so not much more documentation happened. But there was a bad feeling when I put on the new shoes and the tires rubbed. After frantic thinking I referred to my dads IX for explanation and found out why. IX's come with the 15" basketweaves with an offset of et41 and the bottlecaps that come on standard 325i's like mine are et33. So what ended up happening here is a 16x8 wheel should have fit in a 325i rear end but this is and IX rear end so they poke out more.
To combat this I put spacers in the rear springs, and rolled my fenders some and what do ya know, it worked... Sorta. After my little off-road excursion I came to find out that my whole left rear quarter is bent in so the driver side still rubs some which is very irritating.
The difference:
Drivers, notice the difference in poke under the fender
[IMG]
SAM_0309 by eberlcoezack, on Flickr[/IMG]
Passenger, not nearly as much poke under the fender
[IMG]
SAM_0310 by eberlcoezack, on Flickr[/IMG]
And this is what it is doing to my brand new tires:hitler:
SAM_0311 by eberlcoezack, on Flickr[/IMG]
So my plan as of now is to try and attempt to swap the hubs and replace the bearings, since they make a bunch of noise, from my old subframe and hope the I hubs bring in the wheels so the drivers side doesn't rub! but in the mean while it's driveable.
Kitten Writing as I take a break from this post and do laundry and take quick pictures:curse:

Anywho, I also bought some cheap front sport seats from a convertible. I don't know if I'm going to put any effort into these or just leave them as is and use them until they're not usable. The drivers back tilts to the left which is awfully irritating and the bottom cushion is ripped but they work for me!

Lastly when I was finishing the rear subframe I wasn't in the mood to deal with the muffler so I had it hung by welding wire and it's mount. So I took it to a shop and for 80 bucks I had a guy cut off the muffler and weld on pipes straight back, love the sound and the look.
