Really, only the BBS RC and RK's 17's are lighter at @17.6lbs. And the function are the fans, creating the "System I" as an M5 touring race wheel 25% reduction in brake heat = less fade and longevity. Yeah a 15" Kosei will shed @5 lbs. a corner if you're underpowered I see your logic, but hey it's a preference thing. Hit me first when you're ready to sell I'd like 9" rears on my M3 ;)I Timothy 2:1-2

I agree somewhat... Yes, reducing unsprung weight, & weight period is a plus in most cases. I think they look good on his car. IMO it comes down to what car is being used for, the e30 was designed for 14"/15" wheels the e30 M3 up to 16"x7.5" so for their stock power to weight, it's a match. Adding more power can negate weight (to a point), its just cheaper to go on a diet. ;)
A BBK, with the OEM undertray for ducts, hose and backing plates would cost more than the wheels, or even the car.Rich!

They look especially nice rolling down the road. Your car looks really, really shiny.... Did you have it re-painted?

I have been staring at this thread for days now...
M systems have been my favorite wheel since I saw Ronin. I bought my Compomotives because at the time, it was cheaper to have them custom made than get a wheel set and an e30 M3 5 lug swap.
Now ironically, I have a 5 lug e30 M3 swap I'm sitting on with a complete M system set (with fins even). So, I have been staring at your car.
I can say that the front sitting out that far looks kinda off (I'm REALLY not trying to be a dick about it). I think maybe some IE fender flares would be super bad ass for your set up.
In closing, I love your car. I've been thinking that your car might have me getting rid of my compo's and just slapping my stuff in the red car. You have helped shake my foundations with your awesomeness sir... Shook..
I have more pondering to keep doing. damn it.

My setup (pictured above) is E30 M3 5-lug, no spacers, staggered (205/40f, 225/35r). Light fender roll and almost no rubbing. Personally, i'm not a fan of covers.
