Car is lowered, and out of the carport.

I finished installing the suspension this morning, bolted the wheels up, and lowered it to the ground. Sadly its not quite as low as I had hoped, I wanted about 1/2in lower all around. Currently there are no spring pads in front, but both spring pads in back.

Anyways, I had to give up the carport for awhile, because I need to take the Bronco's engine apart, and replace the headgaskets.

    Damn sexy :)

Very nice. I can't wait to see how she looks once she is finished.

Man, I figured an H&R Cup kit would lower the rear more than that. What a pain in the ass it is to get rid of fender gap on the early models.

Dig it all except for the Rieger lip.

                  Is it driveable yet?

The motor itself is ready to start. I just need to finish all the wiring in the engine bay. I still have alot of wiring to do in the interior, as when i turn the key the main inteior fuse (forget the #) blows. The entire suspension, braking system, clutch, etc is all good to go. I still need to add brake/power steering fluid, coolant, and oil.

Car is dropped on the H&R cupkit. I'm sure it will settle a bit, and get lower. Also Bill, I left both spring pads in on the rear, it will drop the car another 3/5 of an inch if I remove them.

I haven't bothered to put the window trim back on as of yet, because the entire car will be getting repainted soon, and its just wasted time putting it on only to take it back off soon. Also, I havent finished repainted said trim. I will this summer.

As for the rear apron... We all know about the foam model I had made, but a stray cat (that is now dead... litterally) sprayed on it. Its urine ate the foam away beyond repair. My current plan is to get a decent condition e36 M3 rear bumper, and cut it up, remold it, shape it etc, and bond it to the rear bumper. ALOT of modification will be required, but I'm up for it.

Heres what it WILL look like.

It'll definitely settle some more. I put a Cup Kit on my E36 - it was low to start, but a month later I had major rear wheel tuckage.....

Haha i just noticed how covered with mud my rear wheel is. When I was pushing the car up there I realized I was going to fast, so i put my feet out and locked my knees hoping to slow it down. Since the ground is all muddy grass there I fell on my ass quite quickly. Got back up just in time to grab the ebrake before it rolled back down the hill. Guess my show musta kicked up that mud lol.

if it's the cup kit, it should lower some more. That rear apron makes it look alot better

That car is going to look so awesome when you get it done. Everything just goes together so nicely. I think it's slammed pretty good. But then again I'm the one who bought the cheap bavarian autosport lowering springs and still has a good bit of fender gap. I took my rear pads out and that helped a bit too. I'll be interested to know how the ride quality is when you get it on the road.

                              looks great
