This really Blows,..hope your ok..here is myon the matter... If you've had her long enough, don't give up on her, have insurance fix it...its like marriage..if the idea is to keep her for as long as you BOTH live..FIX HER..If your thought are of repair cost versus resale value then you should walk away from it and part her out

So sorry to hear about your car but it's good that you are OK. I bought a salvaged title M3 because I wanted a car I could afford to drive and modify. You are right it will never be worth as much as a clean title car. However with the rising cost of a clean title E30 M3 the value of the salvage title cars continue to increase. You could get a roller and put your parts on that so at least you keep some of the old car on your new car and the build continues. This is every M3 owners worst nightmare, it just a damn shame.
Cheers,

Im glad you are keeping a positive attitude about this loss even thout it sucks!
Don't let the insurance keep the car buy it back store it for a few years or what ever u have to do fix it when the time is right.. once its back on the road insure it with hagerty or high end insurance with 35k in value f that!
anyway if u want to part out ill take the Shell and interior trim.
good luck! keep her alivesigpicComment

I had Hagerty's on my 86, car got wrecked and they paid in full, great company. Just has to be garage kept, miles below your stated yearly mileage, and have to have a daily newer than your insured car.
Sorry for your loss. I was building my e30 for 6yrs and actually cried like a little girl when it was totaled. Bought it back from the insurance company and am paying to have it repaired. Only problem is, the title is now a C.O.D when you get a payout on a total loss (never to be a street car again).Comment

Tough luck man. I'm sure this is stressful. If you don't mind telling, are the involved insurance companies?98 M3/4/5
