Someone just installed them at some point. It does look good but from my experience E28/E34/E32/E24/etc... 17" max. 16s are even better.

Case in point. This car was very well maintained. had 16" wheels/tires on it when I bought it. Old ass Michelins that were at the wear bars. No shimmies/shakes/etc. I put on the 17" M-Systems which actually weigh less overall but move the weight further out.

Now have the 55mph death wobble that is a sign of worn suspension. Literally happened from going up one size of wheels. Just how it is unfortunately.

I had one of these (1990 735-i). Besides the fuel economy, GREAT CAR!

It likes Bilstein dampers and redlining 4th gear on the freeway.

I'd like to own a E32 750iL someday. It has the perfect amount of chrome bumper.

Why are you guys suggesting a S38 in a 7 series? Hardly worth the time and money. Not to mention that this is a rare 5 speed car and of course M30 engines are bulletproof!

I like this car a lot and can't wait to see it dropped!

"Worth" is a relative thing. I think it would actually be awesome to have some revs to go along with all that torque. Can I say it's worth the time and effort and $$$ and would significantly add to the resale value? No. Without getting too far in to the execution of the swap I just think it would be cool.

Nice car, but needs to be lowered IMO :)

Just put some 19's on my 32 and TBH the ride is better than the 16's I had on it previously. I've had 15's, 16's, 18's and now 19's.
