Lowering the IX, for now

I have the same setup on my iX but, I trimmed a coil off the front springs. Looks a 100 times better and rides just the same. I have to agree with Nando, I pulled a noob move when I installed my suspension and bought drop hats. It's physically impossible to run drop hats trust me, I tried.

I dont think cut a coil is a good idea though. It a better choice to use a RWD H&R sports, that front coils are shorter, enough to give the look you want and enough travel to have a sport comfort ride. Thats my set up.

A cut coil meaning a dead coil. It hurts nothing on aftermarket springs, unless of course you have an ix and H&R sports.

Yep 17 with low profile tire 205/40/17. I will mount alpina kopis now with 215/40 front and 235/40 rear.
