I hear ya, I couldn't pass on the deal I got on them though.

I know when it comes time to sell them, some Honda or 240SX nut will jump on them in a heartbeat, lol

        ^^ This is true!!

I'll get some better pics when the weather clears up and the sun is out, but here is what the wheels look like now. Made me like them a lot more, lol

And since I've been neglecting the engine bay, I started doing some cleaning and painting.

This is what the valve cover looked like before.

        After:

The BMW letters will be black soon, it didn't come out as smooth as I wanted thanks to the weather turning shitty in the drying process. I'll redo it on my next day off, weather permitting.

I'm going to do the manifold when I get new gaskets and install the 5.0 injectors I've had in my glovebox for months now, lol.

Debating on what color to do the manifold in. Not sure if matching the valve cover will be over kill on black. Thinking maybe a dark gunmetal or maybe some shade of silver to match the car. Thoughts/ideas??

Photographer friend of mine did a quick photoshoot with my car...but another one is coming soon! New exterior parts added after this shoot, lol

That last one is one of my favorites!

I think it'd look much better without the eyebrows. I've just never felt they flow well on an E30.

Diggin the car! The black hood on silver looks surprisingly good. I would personally take off the stickers on the window, they look a bit tacky and cliche....but it's your car!

I like the eyebrows...I know they tend to be frowned down on here, but I love the look they give it.

Thanks Nick...I didn't think the hood would look good but with the other black accents, it fit. Better then the old faded/surface rusty look it had before, Lol

More pics coming tonight....got the Kamotors fender flares installed!

Flares!! My buddy's dad owns a buddy shop, so we spent some after hours time there cutting off my fenders and putting on the Kamotors flares. Also welded up a Magnaflow glasspack to get rid of the nasty rasp I had from having straight pipe with a muffler.

Me taping up the rear before spraying primer to seal the cuts

                  Some shots I took after

And some quick shots Cody (the guy that was cutting) took...not only does he do his own fab work and welding, but he's a photographer too.

My little brother's GST in the background, lol

They'll be fixing that dent in my door too...since it tends to ruin any good pictures of my car.

Next up for the exterior, plastidip matte white, wheels in gloss white with a black lip and a new front lip.

Ok, I understand you not liking the flares...I knew plenty would hate on them, but in the end...they don't drive my car, I do. We all mod our cars to our liking.

But saying, "..not feeling that a single modification done to the car has been worth it.", is a bit overboard. Do you only like bone stock cars? (If that's the case..go ahead, to each their own) Lowering springs and upgraded shocks/struts isn't worth it? I know I don't gain much power from an intake and exhaust...but that's not worth it either? I'm going to go ahead and and assume you're hate for the flares is causing you to hate on everything else for no apparent reason.

Yes, there is some gap in the rear...the tires were on the wheels when I got them. I'm not a fan of the stretched look at all. New rears are on their way already...going from a 205 in the rear to a 225.

I like it, and would happily put those wheels with some fat slicks on my race car. I would also repaint the centres green to suit (look up my track car and you will see what I mean.) I have also been debating with myself on doing my hood black on my daily white 318i.

Thanks! The wheels have really grown on me...I know they are knock offs of Japanese wheels, but I'm not one to complain or criticize about parts based on where they are from.

This car is eventually going to be white as well...I've been debating on whether to match the hood when I do it or leave it black. It matches the spoiler being black and when I do the wheels, the lips on those will be black as well.

I guess when it comes down to it, I'll figure it out.

Looking at what you started with and what you have now, all I see is a car whose value has been halved by hacking the rear arches. You're running mild suspension upgrades, stock brakes, and the replica wheels probably aren't light. 225 in the rear? Big deal. A good driver on sticky 205s and stock suspension will run circles around you without needing fuh raze flares. So really, then, what's the advantage of everything you've done to your car, besides growing your list of mods?
