    E30 M3 From Brazil !

    Hello Fellows !

    I have been a member here for quite some time , but did not post about my car yet ! I´m ready to correct this now :)

    The passion for bmws began when my father bought a 530 e34 1994, back in 95, from my uncle and it became the garage queen here in my house... i was 17 then... we still have this car ...

    in 2007 i reserved some money to get a e34 manual transmission that i always wanted since young... it was then that i found out about the e34 M5 and i got one from a collector in Sao Paulo , a late model 1995 3.8 , great car ! i fell in love with /m cars and their history... too bad we have a few of those early m cars...

    in the end of 2008 i heard about an IRS auction that was going to sell an m3 e30 !! well... we got lucky and bought the car ! cosmetically it was in really good shape , but mechanically it was really needing a good owner...

    we had to change all suspension , brakes , etc... AND rebuild the engine...
    I have a friend that is an /m engine specialist here in brazil , a real entusiast that i got to know because of the m5 e34 ...
    We ended up going the 2.5 route and now recently we just went alpha-n with motec management and we are sorting things out right now...

    let me tell you... if in the usa it is hard to do stuff with these cars , here in brazil it is 10x harder... but at the end, worth it !

    the suspension is HR race springs and bilstein sport shocks and ireland eng. sway bars ... old recipe from the foruns
    brakes are all new OEM with braided lines , pfb pads..

                    Thank you ! With this new tank i´ll be able to stay longer on track and without fear of starvation on high g curves ! as i told you i am having this trouble with my old 55l tank... i am planning on running 2 pumps on this 63L tank... and if it fails i´ll try a 2L surge cylinder between tank and engine...

                    That is a race track that used to belong to a super rich guy here in brazil (Diniz family) that owns a country wide supermarket chain and other business. he used this only with friends... After he died the family started to rent the track for events , car launches , track days , etc...
                    in this farm they actually have golf courses , polo fields , cattle fields, soccer etc etc... between Sao Paulo and Campinas

                    it is paradise...

                    An event last month @ this track ( Capuava) with top notch cars...

                    Thank you ! For sure this is not going to be a garage queen ! it is taken care of , but used hard and enjoyed at the max also

                        Awesome. What cams are you running? With the Motec you will want a grp A/DTM airbox. Oh and when they said to buy a "cat", I don't think that's what they meant. =P

                          Stock Cams for now... We are trying to figure out something that will look oem like this:
                          Ron Jones is a mechanical engineer with diversified experience in automotive design and product development.


                          but in the future we can run the dtm airbox (have to save $ for that hehe)

                          now we are going after new injectors , we were using 2.5L evo ones , but they are maxed out in higher revs (max duty cicle,and we are running sequential ignition)
                          so for now my limiter is at 6300rpm ... asap we will fine tune it with a knock sensor , new 500cc/h 6 holes injectors and will go up in the rev limiter...
                          in the future we plan on running more agressive cams... the pistons were designed with big pockets for bigger higher lift cams
                          we did not go to the dyno yet , but it may be producing more than 250hp , as it is about this power that these injectors installed can feed...

                          My car is "de-cat" right now... hehehe could not take all that cat hair inside the car...

                              hello Hermano !

                              i would love to drive at interlagos again ! but prices for the track day there have more than doubled in the last years... will see when we can go again !

                              some weeks ago i saw either on argentina´s mercadolibre or uruguay that there was an e30 320is with an s14 engine in it for sale ! nice project ! if properly spec´d , it can rev very high !
