that steering wheel picture is the shit. nice camera work
^ Thanks, who doesn't like to take pics of an E30? :D

M20's have that particular sound that's just right, I still need to grab some decent headers to complete the soundtrack.

Thanks, I was very lucky finding the Alpinas and then the RS and I can't sell any, hehe. I have received decent offers, but I just can't.

Once again thanks to all, remember you have a friend and E30 petrolhead on Costa Rica.

Haven't being around lately and I wanted to share some updates...

I consider myself very lucky because I found a dogleg gearbox, apparently from an E21. I live in Costa Rica and found it on the same province where I bought my BBS RS set, when I met the seller and checked the condition of the gearbox I was like: shut up and take my money. :p He was even very kind to hold the money while I installed it on my E30 and check that it was working well.

                      This is it:

Then ebay hooked me up with the respective shift knob:

                      ...and installed:

Since my 3.73 LSD started to whine I had to get another one, the only I found was an open 4.10... So, M20B27 stroker + Stahl long tube headers + dogleg + 4.10 it's simply ridiculous. Great acceleration, poor top speed. But that's ok because I've been very fortunate and my stroker is not my DD anymore... I found a very clean post Euro Coupe and bought it, this is it:

^ Pictures taken on a mountainous road known as "El Aguacate", a very fun drive because thanks to a parallel road recently opened this one remains with very light traffic so you can drive at your own pace.

Best regards to all from Costa Rica!

Thanks, I love it too, but I don't travel much so I don't have an option, haha.

Thanks! The next year plans for both are: For the DS 4 door stroker I want a complete paint job/restoration and after that I will like to install a 284 Schrick camshaft. And for the coupe I just want to keep it as it is, without too agressive suspension and as comfortable as possible since it's now my DD.

I'm also half costa rican haha. Is there a good amount of e30s there or are they hard to find?
                                ^ Excellent. :p

Yes, they are plenty, however most in poor condition. And the one's that are worth it are getting pricier and hard to find. Remember that due to high import taxes on new cars Costa Rica still has many old cars on the road and there's even a small but strong old car community grouped on several car clubs.
