Where would be the best place to go for suede boots now?

There's a guy on e30zone.co.uk that's doing some alcantara like boots for pretty cheap. Rob may be doing Alcantara stuff now if you're interested also.

Ok, sounds good. I'm just collecting info in case I have a sudden urge to pour money into my e30 while it sits in a garage 150 miles away :(

I don't know whats wrong with your seat frames, but its worth taking a look. My drivers side was borked, I JB welded an L bracket in there and its good as new. Your fix may be easier.

as for the heated I was wondering about sport seats in general if they ever came heated, I've got the fat ol' non sport ones and would like a nice set of sports but wanted them heated too and I dont know a lick about what BMW made for stock sport seats... can anyone give me a non-ass reply to that?

Hatchman - yes, heated non-sport and heated sport seats were an option.

No. The only heated sports I've personally used are Dan Gillan's. And he had to retrofit most of the wiring for them because his car didn't come with them originally. I would consider heated sport seats fairly rare. They're more common in the ix's than the regular RWD E30s though.

I don't like the vinyl bolsters (or headrest). They would have looked better if they were leather.

But seriously, I think they will look tons better with the backs on, and TJ, why don't you just re-dye the suedes?

Like most people (myself included--with two cars), your interior is holding you back. The shift knob, the seats, the not-black floor mats, and the suede (which is being replaced) all deserve better. Stock seats are nice...for stock cars.

I'll say this once and once only:

Recaro SRDs are pimp, but Recaro SRDs covered in anything but their stock cloth material immediately makes you eligible for presidency. Of the world.

dont listen to them all!!!! ahhhhh they are all hating! (j/K). I have black leather sport seats in my M3, and wouldnt trade em for anything besides EVO3 recaros. origional sports are awesome.
here is going to be one of the first WORTHFUL posts here.....
take the side covers off, and lube the crap out of all the gears, and tighten everything up. lube it all really good. my seats in my red car started to do the same a few weeks ago. on the L side of the pass. seat, the springs and crap were all dry, after lubing them and working it all over and over, they work great now. the catch pin was not locking in all the way, and allowing the gears to"strip" a little, causing the lean. you would be surprised how much better the seats will work with a bit of maint. lube and tighten.

I like the look, now come over here and take some nice pics of my car!
