    New to BMWs. Greymarket 325e

This is my 1985 325e. Unknown mi. 232k on odo. As stated I am fairly new to BMW's. Inherited this car a few years back when my moms boyfriend passed. It was pretty rough and her exact words were "You want that thing? Why?" I did not know that these cars had a following. I was thinking free econo shitbox. I really enjoyed driving it after the usual valve adjustment, water pump, timing belt, etc. I recently removed a good portion of the shitbox from it. Welded in new floors, some body work, some paint, and other misc. knick knack stuff. Now that it is presentable I really enjoy driving it. I'm hooked. Oh I am the 3rd owner and have all original order, purchase, shipping, and federalization paperwork and receipts. I think that's the coolest part about this car.

Nice! But to bad you didn't take off the silly side markers that was added on when it came over here.

Man, those federalization side markers are laughably ugly. Looks good otherwise though - seems to be in good hands with you

Please remove those crazy side markers and put the proper euro ones on.

                    Like so.

sad that used mk2 VW sidemarkers up front, they are horrible. good news is you can get smoked ones, but i wish you would've shaved them when you sprayed the car. also you need a euro grill for the pass side. other than that, lower it :)

I'd say it isn't too late to get rid of the side markers - at least the one's in the front.
Paint is really nice on the car - it would top off the car.
