I am all kinda of jealous and excited for you. I love my e39 touring and can't imagine what kind of beast your car is. If the only thing people are going to nit pick about your car the badges I think you're in the clear.

DSHD / Double Sunroof.. thing is awesome when it works. I completely rebuilt mine with new BMW parts, took me $450 to get it working again, but its really freaking cool.

Did some work to my M5 Touring today, re-installed the camshafts after having them re-machined / restored by Delta Camshaft

Timing the engine was somewhat of a bitch and took us quite awhile to line everything up. Next up is to reshim all 24 valves.

They are VERY picky engines but running properly they are amazing. I'd also invest in a set of Vacuum gauges to sync the throttles.

Oh and the MAF is a first gen Bosch Hotwire MAF, only used on the S38B36 and Motronic Porsche 928, very expensive to replace (over $1000) and around $400 to have repaired.

Enjoy it, mine has tons of Dinan goodies on it (Suspension, Cam gear, Chip, 850i Brembo brakes, etc)
He can always (you as well) send the MAF to Injection Lab, they do a wonderfull restoration/rebuild for these MAF. Mine is aB38 therefore different MAF but they did manage to rebuild it and add an adjustbale potentiometer.

Would be that Schwarz II color?:) More photos please

M5 is down for a few days, clutch hydro line is toast the pedal started not holding, so I threw it in our stacker trailer to see if I could find the issue and snapped a few pics as well.
btw car has a 3.91lsd not a very good highway gear with the e30 m3 5 speed.

BMW Wanted some insane amount for the factory part. I had a local hydraulic place make up a line for me.. 30 bucks and nicer than the factory.
