Scott Epstein, lol. He did a damn good job of it too, looks great save for the chicken wire on the front (IMO.) His specialty is E34 M5's ironically enough.

Why its everything bmw had in the m5 built by a bmw master tech so what's not m5 about it besides the last 6 of the vin?

Couldn't have said it better. The argument is valid on both sides, but honestly, who cares? It's M enough to get away with an M badge, and it was sorta handbuilt. :D

From memory e34 M's were not hand assembled. Honestly these days does it even matter? BMW will stick an M badge on anything coming down the assembly line. How long do you think it will take before we have an E powered M?

It's all about the magical euro, buck, yen, or rand. Face it days of cars are pretty much done to the level that guys can remember the muscle days or dream of lore. I had to drool over Dad's creations and his Muscle Car mags from the 60's and early 70's.

Very cool score. E34 M5s are super fun cars.

Looks great and it appears to have a square set up on the wheels... could be a bit more aggressive with some spacers out back.

Post up more pics when you get the chance.

Purists don't want it badged but they are purists. As in, if the VIN is not a M5 vin, it is not an M5 and should not be badged as such.

You don't have to care what purists thinks or anyone else for that matter, just understand that your will get flack from many BMW enthusiasts for badging it other than it is regardless of the degree of cloning.

Out of curiosity, does the title say 525it or M5?

                            adjustable subframe?
                            close ratio steering box?
                            hand built in germany?
                            m5 sway?
                            m5 spings?
                            sls depending on the year?
                            a 95 with a 3.8?

Well this thread is getting a bit critical. Damn cool car, I think everyone is glad to see it go to an enthusiast.

Purist or not, if i put an m3 badge on my e30 and tell everyone its an m3, your jimmies would be rustled. I'd be staking a claim about my car that isn't even true. I might as well put a ferrari badge on it since I am already a narcissistic assfuck liar.
