My rpm limit is 7.5k. NOT B.S.

In the course of 2 minutes I can plug a laptop into my engine management and set the rev limiter to 10k RPM.

Doesn't mean my engine won't explode on its way there.

Anyone that builds m20's will tell you its is not safe to rev them to 7500 rpm, nor is there any reason to.

Your engine is making very little power anywhere above 6800 rpm.

Whereever you've set your limiter is just a "bragging right"

I would have to call B.S. on that too. A good friend had a very expensive engine done up too, and it has no rev limiter. when you hit 7000 rpms, you knew it, cause the thing would float like no tomorrow. It was the most horrid metalic sound you could imagine. the complete top end was all brand new with schrick products, and yes, it was put together correctly. I dont think the motor could get to 7500 with all the floating going on.

on the other hand, nice ass car, and i want your valve cover! looks like you have a great little project going there

I can understand the fact that 7500 is hard to believe, but short of flying all you boys down here to try it yourself, I don't know what I'm supposed to do to SHOW you that this car does it. Now Jordan has already told me that it's not a good idea to rev it past 6900, so I'm gonna stick to that, but I SERIOUSLY am able to rev to at LEAST 7000+ (I can't tell + how much since the tach doesn't go past 7k) with no adverse side effects. Maybe cuz of the Eurospec motor? I DON'T KNOW. But my eyes and ears don't lie.

I am in germany. All the cars ive had have had a 6900 rev limiter chip in it. revs to that no problem. you dont have to prove anything to me, I am just a dumb ass here on R3v. From what you said is donr to your motor already, I have total respect for your car! I dig it!
