Damn deutscheman you're going soft! This is R3v, don't lul the kid into a false sense of security!

But seriously, we're here to help. Throw some wax on that paint, it might make a huge difference for little $.

So what year? i,is, es, e? Triple turbo V16 or the motor from my electric toothbrush?

Just trying to instill a sens of community. I have gotten a lot of help from guys on R3V and the 2002 FAQ and I like helping other guys out.
Wax is not going to help his rust problem dude. lol
But yes. He needs to add more details.

I cant quite tell. Ether its very light rust or the previous owner just sanded the red down so it was a mat color. Again something mazie30 could have explained to us.

I know, just being sarcastic :D

I was hoping it was just faded clearcoat and a bad camera. A good coat of wax is 50% of the way to a new clear coat.

It will help you out if you put a bit more detail into your post, let people know more about your car, and what your plans for it are. Other wise people will be forced to make their own assumptions. For example, you say your car has so much power. What motor? Maybe explain a bit about where you got the car, what modification it has, and what your plans are for it down the road. Thats usually what people have in a thread when they introduce their car. You can edit your original post and add a few details.
I am not in SF now but will be back mid September. If you would like any help working on your car or just want to go for a drive some time let me know. My self and my friend mr2peak both have done a good amount of work on these cars, and I also own a MIG welder if you ever need anything welded. I am in San Rafael (when I am home) and mr2peak is in SF.
                    Cheers
Hah thanks man, definitely glad there are friendly people! But is that better? I actually have the car in Arizona right now, hoping to bring it out to sf Hopefully in the summer but yeah that would be great!! I have been wanting to drive the streets up here since I came here! It's driving me nuts not having my e30 here!

Welcome and sorry about the previous owner royally fucking it up. Take time and do all maintenance crap before appearance, trust me it will make life much easier. Looks like its got some definite potential.
