Let me know if you ever need a Euro cluster for this thing...I accidentally bought one in Athens, Greece that has 220 kph speedo, 6.5/7K redline, and the early-style coding plug...no use for it in my '90 325i
More small work done. Need to bring a car down from WA to swap it out for this thing - no room in the garage.
Cleaned up the door cards - they were filthy. I used a "Magic Eraser" on them. If you haven't used one on your door cards I recommend it (disclaimer: if it doesn't work for you - it's your problem but it worked for me). I disclaim it because it definitely dries out the cards but you can use a vinyl dressing to get some moisture back in them.
These has been cleaned once but the magic eraser really fixed them up - it works well on the engine bay too.

They turned out super clean.
Now it's on to the engine bay. Need to get this to my garage with all the tools and space to take things apart and really clean it/order parts to get this back to being very clean - every inch is dirty.
Great find - really coming together. Hold on to that E60 M5 - I love em - that body style is aging really well.
I'm with everyone else - euro bumpers will make this thing perfect. Any engine bay plans?
The e60 m5 isn't going anywhere at this point. I doubt BMW is going to make many if any more NA v-10's. plus it's fast as hell and I love driving it. As of Friday, it can roll the new jaguar supercharged - fun race.
Engine got cleaned up and the glovebox is back in. The engine is still very dirty compare to what i would like - lots of work left to do. The before picture is in a previous post.
hey nice car ! good find , makes me miss my henna e28 and my first bmw.. my 318I that thing handled so good!! whats involved with installing the leather e-brake cover? its from an e34 right?
The handle is out of an e36. It's a direct fitment - no issues.
The F30 handle needs some modification to fit over the e30 handle - have to dremel out the inside. I'm saying this for reference as the f30 handles have several color styles if someone wanted to go this way:
As I climb the ladder of age I find myself longing for my first clean 325es. Lowered on some H&R race with almost no mods besides weaves. It was just a great car to jump into and never be noticed.
In short, I love everything about this. Clean and so 80s.
