looks wise or physically wont fit. my 85 325e bronzit had one at some point there is a line of holes in the trunk lid. maybe I'm confusing terminology of the front lip and the rear spoiler.

I'm talking about the front spoiler. Technically, there is an iS front valance from the early model cars, but I assumed he was talking about the late model front lower lip. I could be wrong. If so, I apologize :D

I was talking about the valance probably - the thing that actually holds the fogs. I like how they're on the outer edge on iSs as opposed to the middle on Es. But I really don't know. The lip is the little piece that goes under the valance I suppose - so I used the wrong terminology I am sure.

So I just got the rest of the paperwork and stuff from the original owners - Holy Crap were they meticulous!

I got about 4 inches thick of every service or oil change that's ever been done to the car as well as the original invoice from Munich and all the owners manuals/instructions and some accessory catalogs and stuff. I also have the shipping/customs documents from Munich and London as well as the Euro plate they used while driving it over there. Also, the "Official BMW Car Care Kit" - never used - which contains 21 year old shampoos, polishes, brushes, chamois, etc. And some keychains the factory threw in at the time of purchase - ones a leather BMW wallet with four key holders the other is an original M Power chrome keychain in German. Pretty cool!

              Impressions

So here are my impressions after a few solid weeks of owning my e30:

              1. This car is fantastic to drive as is! I was really suprised at how capable the car feels. I've owned some (what I thought were) pretty good handling cars and stock, the e30 feels every bit as good. Can't wait to upgrade!

              2. The JimC chip is a great great investment - it's a whole new beast! The car actually feels as fast as my WRX when passing and such - no small feat!

              3. Build quality is incredible. Perhaps never owning a German car I've settled for less, but I'm very impressed with how solid and precise everything feels on my 21 year old car.

              4. I am a Bimmer owner for life. None of my other cars have grabbed me the way this one does. (Except maybe my CRX - but that may be more sentimental.) It makes me wonder what else I've been missing out on.

              5. Thanks again for everyone's input everywhere on these forums. A resource like this is great and the fact that most of the idiots seem to get run off makes it only greater!

Don't forget, a WRX may make a lot of horsepower at the crank, but once you subtract driveline loss in an AWD car, you're left with much less.

And if you haven't driven a chipped eta, the difference is quite remarkable. I'm not talking some placebo, I mean "holy shit, this car is actually faster".

yes. after the drivetrain loss on the WRX and the transformation of the eta motor with a JC chip.... the eta will smoke that shitbox jap crap!!!!11

Hey now, I never said that it would beat it. Just stating a few points. I'm just a big backer of the JimC chip on the eta.

AWD loss isn't as bad as people make out to be. A chipped 325e is certainly faster than a stock 325e but its still a really slow car.

Well, the torque fools a lot of people. You get the whump off the line and in changes and your ass cant really tell the steady climb you get in the Scooby while the Eta tapers off.
                            Im now E30less.
