    My long finished e30 project

Hello R3v! I'm a daily user on here who's always looking at peoples build threads, showroom, you name it, but never made my own build thread. My photos I took of the car during the build were to big (file size) to upload on here so i finally figured out how to post using flickr's "BBCode" feature. With out further a-do heres my build thread!

SO the story about the car in the picture is during a smog test the smog tester didn't put a fan in front of the car… slowly over heated with out the tester knowing and ended up blowing the head so heres were i found it, sitting for 15 years in my dads friends backyard because his kids, nor him wanted to fix it all in all, can't go wrong with a free e30 ;)

    IMG_0240 by kirieiw, on Flickr
Then while browsing my local craigslist i found a totaled e30. had lots of goodies, a 86k: transmission, driveshaft, LSD, M20b25, along with rip free interior (sport), crack free dash and a Mtech 1 steering wheel! Best $900 i spent

    IMG_0270 by kirieiw, on Flickr

As you can see that car was completely totaled, even though it had a clear title. My dad had no interest in leaving 2 e30s in his driveway at once so we had to dissemble the totaled one then pick up the other e30 sitting for 15 years after, no worries its not like its going anywhere anyway! Heres a pic i snapped of my dad shaking hands with the guy who totaled the car, Oh story why its totaled is it hydroplaned on the freeway during heavy rain, defentyly was a clean e30 till that happened.

    And the interior in it

    IMG_0272 by kirieiw, on Flickr

And the work place were all this will take place, Car covered in the garage is my dads 65' fastback, and the blue e46 is the car i sold last month cause all i need is my e30

Once the tow truck dropped off the totaled car, my friend me and my Dad went right away and started stripping the interior

Skipping forward a couple weeks we made it a convertible! Funny story, we left the cars chunks out in the driveway and the next morning they were missing! Someone took the metal with out asking us, my dad said the previous day he saw a metal guy eyeing the house… sucks he took the sunroof though! i would have kept that

And the only time the dog will be aloud in the car, because the interior is being trashed. Posted a ad oncraigslist for a week of the price of FREE and not one call! Tossed it all in a dumpster, including carpets, seats ect.

about 4 month later of hard work…….

Ok and heres some pics after we got the car running. One thing i forgot to put in was the intake valve was bent and piston 5 wasn't getting any compression… had to take the head off and put in a new valve, but hey i sell got to drive it as a inline 5 around the block ;D

heres some more recent pictures. all i did was pick up a late valance, came with a volvo lip but no fogs or air ducks. Also got the projector headlights from the local junk yard. If your asking why i didn't use the valance from the other car it was too beat up to fix, but i did use the fog lights from it and there the ones on the car now. I got the air ducts in red from a member on here for $15 shipped, he said he only made $6 profit and the the other $9 went to shipping, thank you though man! They are painted them black.

Didn't like the wheels much, Sold them to a forum member on here though, i gave him the spacers that came on the car because they were special for the wheels. Anyways, i got some beautiful euroweaves and I'm loving them! Also tinted the windows 20% rear and 50% up front but no pics, along with e30 floor mats i got at the junkyard for 6 bucks

                sweet project man!
10 minutes... then we invade China.
We'll begin with the small town of General Tso's,
And move to the Orange chicken province.
