in my case i have some oxidation and chip marks. so the coating is broken exposing aluminium.
Feel free to PM me about this.

That is not the case with mine since they are brand new lips. You don't want to spray clear over a polished surface - it will be prone to peeling and will dull the finish. The clear coat (paint or powder) really needs a rough surface to adhere to, hence the machined finish on factory RS lips. You can do it, but it's not a permanent solution in my opinion.

      thanks for your answer.

i had thought you refurbished your rims. but now you said they are brand NEW lips. are new lips still available? in other words, they are then assembled.

i have decided to remove the clear coat. any idea what to get from supermarket to do this job? i am also debating whether to have the lips removed in order to spray paint the spoke

      thanks again

                    Thank you.

I actually just sold the Porsche fans. They were several inches too tall and I just couldn't get myself to cut them apart. So, fans are on hold but the wheels are ready for them nonetheless.

I never wanted to own a red car but I'd make an exception for this one :)

                          the f50's are crazy beautiful!!!

you sir have the gonads of brass , i would of never opted for that car trailer. lol
it would have been driven or put in an enclosed trailer. atleast she made it home safe!

                          congrats on this build amazing.

I need to update this thread. Not much happening this winter. I've been putting off two major projects that need to get done on this car:

                            1) Transmission needs to come out so I can replace the first motion shaft bearing

                            2) Front suspension needs to come out and go back to Vorshlag so one of the strut housings can be cut and welded straight.

                            3) Restore original black seats. I think I'm done with the Evo interior. It's been fun, but I really prefer the originals.

                            Thank you sir

Trust me I really didn't want to use that trailer but I had no choice that day. Didn't want to risk the seller backing out last minute. Next time I'll get an enclosed or at least something with matching wheels. ;)

Recaro SRD fronts with sliders and adapters, M3 rear seat and Mtech door cards front and rear...probably close to $4k

What I really want to do is swap the front seats for M3 seats with Mtech fabric centers like the Evo 2 cars. The SRDs are neat and all but not that comfortable on long drives. Might see if I can adjust the width of the base. They don't allow for any lateral movement whatsoever and I'm pretty thin.
