My K&N has been trashed. In the past, I had removed it so many times, and bent it up trying to fit up a longer, tubular intake system. So today, I decided to remount the stock box and a new filter. I added some fresh hardware here and there, too. The stock box was filthy, so I cleaned it up a bit, then I drilled a few holes on the fender side of the bottom half of the box. I still might make some more holes because I want it closer to what the "cold air K&N intake" sound was like. Must be like a 57HP gain from the stock filter, hehe. Warm-air intake snarl for the win. What sucks is that it is rainy as hell out here, so I hear the wet road sounds more than the intake. Can't wait til it's dry here again so I can further Swiss Cheese that lower box if I need to.
