Whoa! Somebody spent money on making the car act better and saved money by not giving a shit how it looks! When I get two cars, one will be the shitty looking beater that I won't have to worry about rocks chipping the paint or sliding into a tree. I like it! Maybe take the 300 dollars to a 'real' paint job and have someone spray it with a good coat of flat/primer black. Go back tho, and kit the window trim and side moldings [bump strips included] with some semi gloss to make it have atleast a few features. Also, bottle caps with red = awesome!

i've been told wetsanding with 1000grit will even out the rattlecan tracks... im going to give it a try once it warms up.

ok, car is ghetto, i got it. does it take 68 posts to tell me my car is teh suck? i have not one time said it's pretty, nor am i trying to make it pretty. is that all that matters in this forum? i've been working on this car for 4 years now, i know it pretty well. if you want to give me shit because i'm struggling to keep my car on the road and i cant justify cosmetics till i fix the mechanical problems, fine. you guys with showcars - your cars a beautiful! i used to have Digitalwave's car as my background a few months ago. if i had the money and the time my car would be on the same level.

i shouldnt have to justify my car to you. i'm an enthusiast, i eat, sleep, and breath this car. if you want to ban me after this thread, b/c you think my car sucks, thats fine. you wonder why everyone talks shit about R3V.

In 1980 I had a 72 2002 that had really bad paint. I did not want to spend money on cosmetics so I sanded it to metal and covered it with clear primer. It looked like brushed aluminum and was really cool until it started slowly rusting then it looked like copper. Luckily (he he) a drunk girl hit it on the 405 & totaled it so I got paid and got a 40k 72 Tii in one owner perfect condition.
