Haha you dont need to tell me about aftermarket support for the w201. I know very well, BUT probably the most badass mod you could do. Direct bolt on bbk 4 pot fronts and 2 pot rears from either a w124 or r129. GC also makes a coil over kit, but nothing worth mentioning besides that.

You would be surprised how few performance and suspension options there are for this car. Hell, there isn't even an after-market intake for this thing! (I'm personally a fan of stock air-induction boxes anyway)

      Suspension options I've got
H&R Springs or bags.... that's it.

It needs new shocks asap though
      bags it is.

from the 400e right? I've been gandering at those. Found a set of calipers + rotors + pads for $250. Not sure of the market price for those, but if it's not a bad deal I think I'll snag them. The stock brakes feel like I have wooden planks for pads.

I was paying around. That's a good looking car. That's the only Mercedes sedan I really like.

                  Just bought:
                  400e front calipers
400e slotter rotors + ceramic pads
KYB GR-2 struts + shocks all around (not looking for an aggressive ride with this car, and I've run GR2 before with good results)
                  New OEM Blower Motor
New Serpentine Belt (looks like I'll have to remove the radiator to install it! crazy)
                  New Denso Spark Plugs

That's a big enough hit on my wallet for one night ($820) on top of just forking over pretty penny for this ol' thing just yesterday, then buying insurance and registering it! I must really be crazy.

Next up is steering rack, have to find a new intake to take care of those pesky vacuum leaks (any replacements I can use from other models?), then some interior bits. Going to hit up a few pick-and-pulls Friday or next Tuesday.

                  Cheers for now!

You can also go the factory route and get Sportline springs. They won't lower much (unless you're into cutting them), but will improve the ride a bit. I found the 2.6 to be a bit wafty on non-SL springs.

KYBs, as you mentioned, would probably work well.

I've actually been looking for sport line springs. Since the springs are LCA mounted I figure it doesn't matter much if I install them at a different time.

You have vacuum leaks from the intake manifold itself? Thats.....odd.

everything after the throttle body has vaccum....

edit: I see what you're saying. I was being ambiguous with the term "intake" to mean the whole shebang.

Great car! I've been dying to get my hands on a 190e cosworth. Evo 2 kit is the best look for these in my opinion.

Would love a 2.5 cosworth but central Florida is void of any decent car already. There is a grand total of 1 190e available let on Craigslist at any given time.
