yup def a plus with e30 that you can leave your hood popped and it will stay in place on the track!

adds some extra airflow and keeps temps down a bit while waiting in line for run groups!

Heres another shot from last weekend.
Thank Tangy Philms for the photo.

Less than a week away to the next event and my cage is still in the works...
        SNEAK PEAK
The main hoop fits amazing in the car with less than a No 2 pencil worth of space between the car all the way around!

        Getting Tiggy with it!!!

Picked up a 4.10 diff and had my friends at STILLBUILT weld it up.
Scored another 3 pairs of tires yesterday.
Also picked up rear wheel studs and lug nuts, to get rid of lug bolts for good. lol
Acquired some rear h &r struts im going to try out as well

        More updates soon!

              Looking good.

Why not pull the sunroof out? Gain another 3 or inches of head room and loose about 40 lbs up top

I was thinking about that when the roll cage went in.
I have no trouble with headroom, but I would like to lose 40lbs.

                good thinking.

Well lets see here Little update from the last couple weeks.

After many nights and lots of worktime we were able to finish the cage at 10 o clock the night before the last drift event.. ran the welder out of gas also ran out of dom tubing, thankfully a buddy had some dom tubing so I was able to make it all work.

Not the best picture but u get the idea....

A really good picture of the "Calm before the storm" if you will...

Being my first tandem event I was stoked... Lots more run time, Hot lapping, 4 car tandems, etc. Most defiantly worth all the trouble the cage gave us the week before...

First round of grassroots is this weekend. No major plans or changes are happening.

Maybe do a valve adjustment before sunday.. As I have only adjusted them once since the head rebuild..
Check and make sure everythings in order and functioning.
Ill keep you guys posted on how it goes. Hoping to at least win some battles and have a great time..

                  Till then

Thanks man. Scored some 19lb injectors and some new exhaust tube waiting on a header and I'll probably wanna get another tune??
On a side note I just got done adjusting my valves.

.009 clearance and the car is quieter and runs a lot smoother. They were quite out of wack since the head rebuild.
