Back in an e30 - ix daily

Hey R3V,

So I sold my last e30 to a r3v member about a year ago. After a move back to the east (burlington, VT) I decided to pick up an ix to daily.

1991 325ix
5 spd
175k on the car
Replacement engine as of 2012, about 120k on it
Dealer serviced since new
H&R's and bilsteins
Stainless exhaust (haven't checked the brand)
Ugly drag wheels (have set of 5 15" weaves)

Bought the car with a grey interior and an old sparco for a driver seat so I picked up a full cardinal red interior. Drivers seat is rough but rest is great.

Going to speak with a body shop tomorrow about rust repair and paint. I have some money set aside for the work.

What color is that? I am picking up a 1989 iX this weekend, that's I think the same color... diamantschwarz metallic?

That is correct. It's a pretty lovely color, but unfortunately it is in desperate need of a respray. I plan to keep it the same color.

Yup, I had it in my first e30 back on '02.

Thanks guys. I'm not up on the different red leathers, so I'll have to get on that. I plan to have at least the drivers seat (probably both fronts, so they match) redone at some point.

Unfortunately I was not able to get down to the body shop yesterday - we'll see if today works out.

Looks like that may have to be postponed. Jack tested today for because I figured "why not" and back wheels were spinning at about twice the rate of the fronts..
