    Zwaylo's First e30

    Hello all,

Thought I would take a moment to introduce myself and show everyone my pride and joy. I always wanted an e30 and looked for 4 months before I finally found my 1986 325es last July. It had a little over 113K on it when I purchased it. Since I purchased it I have been picking up items here and there for tasteful modifications. Below are some pictures of the day I brought it home.

    Thanks, Matt

Thanks for all the good comments guys! The actual miles are 113,470 on the working odometer. The interior is in awesome shape with the only defect being a small tear in the driver's side seat bolster, other than than it is great. The front valence is racing dynamics.

I have a few goodies picked up that I will be going on in the near future including new floor mats with 325es embroidered in them, Euro Grills, Italvolanti Formel steering wheel, and Borbet Type B 16x9 wheels (Just purchased should be here in a week or two).

European bumpers, slight drop, and call it a day!

Great looking car. Always wanted an old e/es in good nick like yours.

Sounds like you got a good head start. Do you know what the maintenance is like for it? If you have done this already I'd do a timing belt, water bump, t stat, plugs and wires and suspension refresh. Get some bilstein struts an hr sport springs and that will be a awesome looking car :D

edit: I'd do a bumper tuck instead of euro bumpers.

Fantastic car! It's so hard to find them clean and with low miles these days. Shit, 113k is barely broken in for an eta!

LOVE the RD front valance and the sport houndstooth interior. Euro Bumper and drop that baby.

Thanks guys. The first thing I did when I got it was do a timing belt, water pump, and thermostat. Just before I put it in storage for the winter, I went completely through the brake system as well. Plugs and wires is a good call though, haven't changed them yet. The euro bumpers are tempting, but in the short term I think I am just going to tuck the front bumper (rear was already done). I definitely want to focus on the suspension setup next. I'm still trying to determine what setup will both look and perform best with the 16x9 wheels and for driving here in Cincinnati. The car is only drove from late spring through early fall so I don't need a ton of ground clearance, just enough to handle the occasional pot hole and spirited driving.

On another note, the steering wheel came in today from Italy. As much as I love the Mtech 1, I think this bad body is going to look pretty awesome!

I like that wheel. For suspension if you want coils go with some ground controls. If you don't go with bilstien and H&R sports.
