You know, the more I think about it, ya got a point. I'm looking at the m60 harmonic balancer ("HB" from now on), and I realized that I can change the clocking of the gap in the teeth by changing the indexing hole on the HB. I will have to have a machine shop make the inside hub-centric hole diameter larger by 1/4" and the ridge on the back side taken off as well. Then move the 8 bolt holes out 3/8" but then I get a 7 rib multi-V main pulley and a secondary 5 rib multi-V pulley for something. Maybe I have them take that off as well. I was also thinking of trying to do a single belt, serpentine style.

Just imagine this scoop, inside painted red. Outside wrinkle black with the raised bits sanded just to the metal. M30 valve cover done up the same way. Fu-huh-huh-huh-huck! So sexy. OMgoodness.

Just got the core support attachment system figured out and welded up. Also Ordered a couple 10' aluminized steel exhaust pipes in 2"ID from Napa. They get em next day and they were $35 each. I'm gonna put a cherry bomb on each one and do dual 2" all the way back. I know the common thing to do is 3" single, but I don't think I like the sound of single exhaust. And I wanna have a tail pipe at each rear corner instead of two on one side next to each other. Since this car is an 87, I don't have to worry about the pesky rear valance and it's sexy refined exhaust tip cutout.

Got the m20 harness laid out on the motor and it's gonna be cake. Extend a wire or two here and there, money. I also painted the exhaust manifolds and down pipes and they look sexy as the dickens.

I'm just gonna do the supercharger on the first go round. I like it when I have plenty of time to think about things. So instead of it breathing its first life in December, I'm gonna say this should be up and supercharged and on the road by March-April…if the money is there. I'll have another $1500-1750 in it before it's on the road. But even at that, I only have about $1000 in it right now. Wheels/tires gotta be in the $500 range. I'm looking at $3250 all in (minus sweat and tears and poop).

You're right. Also though, the 2 missing teeth are in the wrong place (about 90 degrees off), the main hole in the center is a bit too small, and I believe it to be too thick to fit without surgically removing the outermost pulley (which is not all easy like the m30/m20, aka, it has to be forcibly removed ah la grinder+time). It was cheap, I can wait for the right one to show up. I'm still minimum 2-3 months away from a drive, and that's if I decide not to supercharge it as part of phase one. But I really wanna get to gettin' on some intake manifold and some pulley action. I am 90% sure I want to just do the whole shebang as phase one. I'm just so completely in love with the double barrel hood scoop I can hardly wait.

No fuckin' m30's in sight. I did score a brake booster and master with remote reservoir that may or may not work. And a pair of ellips from an 89 e30. So that's neat. Also grabbed a harmonic balancer from a m60 cause it's 8 bolt and I may be able to make it work. Who knows…

I'm getting back on to the muscle car for a bit until I have a b27 bottom to go into the vert. I'll likely be getting ADHD with the wrenching throughout the winter. Sounds like a nightmare.

    Ahh now I get it.
