Theres a complete S14 setup with cooling system and transmission in NY. Honestly I would go that route, but to each their own. Nice save, a credit to your hard work.

              definitely.
would exponentially appreciate the value of your car as well, the s52 won't do much in that respect.

Cool story, and good job tracking it down. Aside from the price, I think the coolest part is that you bought it from the original owner!! I wish you the best of luck in bringing it back to life.

Agreed. It's too bad you sold the head already... I would have been patient and waited for a block to turn up because you never know... However, I understand there are still exorbitant costs associated with a s14 and don't blame you for just getting it back on the road with a different engine. If it was me I'd probably install my spare eta engine just to piss people off.

Wow, what an amazing find. Enjoy it.

I wonder if the S14 head would work on my 2.0 M10....

no block is different in that it has an extra passage on ex side for oil return from S14 head that a m10 block doesnt have

I was kind of joking - I knew it wouldn't. But, wow, that's a great explanation why in less than 5 min. Haha

Screw that S14, its your car. I'd go S62 personally.
