    My 'new' 88' 325iX

Hey guys this is the first build thread that I am doing on here. I am 17 years old and I bought this car about a week ago. It is a 1988 BMW 325iX 2 Door 5 speed. Here are some photos.

It is not perfect by any means But I love it so far. As you can see it hase some pretty sweet Recaros out of an e21 in it. I recently ordered new Fog lights that actually fit the valance and also a cheap set of RS reps (15x7 et 35).

I also have a few questions if you guys could help me out.

    - Where can I get a euro plate trim filler piece for the diving boards?
    - Also my shift knob is not on tight and can be lifted up off of the lever itself(it is taped) It seems like there should be some type of pin that goes through it to keep it in place? Where can I get this??

Thanks and enjoy! I plan on getting some H&R springs in the near future so stay tuned!
Sorry about the iPhone pics btw...

Ix's are a lot of fun but do require a lot of maintenance, make sure you go over everything really well and take care of that first.

Is it the factory shift knob?

I'm not sure but I think blunttech might have those plate fillers

Good luck with the new car though
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

The pictures cannot be linked directly from you mail account. you need to upload them to something like photobucket or a direct link to a page including only the picture.

Best of luck with the IX. They are great little cars!

Those E21(?) Recaros look great. A little weird that is has a 4-dr centre console and the carpet looks aftermarket, but very clean. I assume they're just signs of a PO that looked after their car and actually replaced broken stuff.

I would expect rust underneath after 26 years, but it looks very clean overall for an iX.

                          Good find
