why are you using a 4 1/2 sanding pad Vs a chemical paint stripper. I have striped entire cars with twice the painted metal than a e30 let alone a cabby in 2-3 hours..... Your way you are going to have skim coat that whole car in filler and block the shit out of it as a good epoxy primer is NOT GOING TOO fill in all those grinder marks...... I stripped my car to bare metal for paint with a Disc sander and 80 grit paper to keep it from rusting i did nothing but sand it again with different grits as long as its in a garage it will just be surface rust which comes right off with 120 grit and leaves nice bare clean smooth metal underneath.
