    FWIW,
    You're best off sourcing a 3.6l. The 3.8's, given their "stigma" tend to have been much more abused than 3.6l's.
    I know someone who has an entire BMW Motorsport (race, not street) S38 sitting around.... that thing is a beast.

      To be honest that is what I am leaning toward at this point, plus its easier to source the 3.6L (not that its easy to source an e34 s38 to begin with)

      I'm planning on either buying a rough e34 m5 or a wrecked one, I do want a complete running drivetrain is car.

      Unless I go S38B38 from europe.
