Finally frank finished the brakes...,was waiting on the new ECS ss brake lines...and bled the lines today. .no more grinding rotors or dragging rear brakes. We knew the transfer case was bad, but we wanted to test just to be sure. Yup doesn't work lol

Im really happy with the turn out. I used original BMW rotors, pads, and donated calipers with ECS SS break lines.
The donated calipers were so much nicer condition then the ones that were on originally. Besides the fact that my drivers side caliper being stuck closed was the msin reason for replacing them.
They doners were dirty and had some surface rust so I got a small wire brush and a scuffing pad that brought them back to great shape, washed them down with brakleen and gave them a good coat of caliper paint.
I took the original retaining clips from the original set of calipers and threw them on my doners but before that I used a dremmel with a small wire brush attachment to get the surface rust off, they cleaned up well too.
I also ordered two new original BMW clips for where the hard break line meets the flex line. It wasnt necessary but I figured for only a buck a piece why not, I was already paying for the shipping for the ss lines.Last edited by Frank88ix; 12-14-2014, 04:23 PM.

Just a quick update, I had a PS fluid leak and Audiquattrott mentioned to me he thought he knew exactly where is was because he was working with the PS lines before I took ownership. He was right, It ended up being a misplaced washer. Instead of having one washer on each side, it was doubled up on one side. It was a quick 5 minute fix.

They're crush washers. Replace them don't reuse them... SUB'D

I'm gonna beat frank to the punch here....he finally lowered the Ix on H&Rs w 14.5mm rear spring pads like mine. The drop is perfect! The front sway nuts were rounded out, so the only way to get them off was grind them. She handles like a dream now.
Added the missing and crack plastics in the wheel wells including a belly pan he was missing w one I had laying around
