Beatrixe the daily driven 89 M3
Nice car! That penny though...do you have a more permanent fix in mind? That would drive me nuts. But you're talking to the guy that just spent 4-5 hours removing and detailing his heater box.
Also, have you had any trouble with rust? Oregon plates made me curious.

WOW! Thanks for all the complements guys! I honestly never excepted you guys to be so interested in the build haha. I will make sure to post up with any and all updates.
I will also post up on here if I am selling my old parts. I have gotten a ton of PMs asking about parts such as headlights and the factory seats. Unfortunately for R3v, I have a bunch of friends who immediately call dibs on the old bits.
Unfortunately the bushings just wern't the proper size and thats why I used a penny. As of now the penny is still in working perfectly but a full shifter rebuild is in the works. When I originally threw in some new bushings I didn't realize that unless you do all the bushings it's kind of a waste of time. I am finally on winter break from college so I should get it done within the next few weeks.Nice car! That penny though...do you have a more permanent fix in mind? That would drive me nuts. Hey ya lurker! Glad to see you're still over here on r3v. Seems like someone needs to find another E30 :)
It's still pretty weird that Daniel ACTUALLY sold this car but man I am so stoked that he did. 10/10 would buy again.
Thanks Griff! Do you have a link to your build on here? I would love to check it out!1989 BMW M3

Where all interested because you have a M3 that still has a s14 ;D
Really though, nice ride! The paint doesn't look half bad and I would most likely leave it myself, but if there's stuff hiding and it does need attention like you brought up, I'd paint the whole car. These are e30's you'll get your money back out of and some, if your spending wisely.
Edit: I just though of this after I closed my lap top screen but had to ask, where you not able to change the spark plugs with the spark plug tool in the trunk? The better question would be could you use it?Last edited by KIRIEIW; 12-15-2014, 12:45 AM.

Nice work, looks fantastic. Those are the redest red seats I've ever seen. Really red.Comment

Most of these turn up missing why who knows. My red one came with the tool but my white one did not.
Snap On and Hazet make the proper sized socket. Hazet's is magnetized. Also many motorcycles use 18 mm plugs.Comment

I suspect they got stolen early on by mechanics from cars with unsuspecting owners who probably never knew there were tools there to begin with."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

I was fortunate enough to buy one locally from my snap on driver for about $2X? don't remember as it was 8 years ago.Comment

Is it the same spark plug tool in the trunk as let's say, a 325i? 9 times out of 10, it's the wrenches and that damn screw driver that people have misplaced over the years.

Nice work. I've been daily driving my 88 M3 for the past 3 years. Its brilliant. Does everything I ask it to without complaint. Its comfortable, gets good mileage, and most importantly, is fun to drive.
I like the black interior, I need to find some black door cards, my grey ones aren't really doing it for me. DS on black is a good look.
