And finally.... the daily. 320d cab.
I prefer the E30, gets far more attention.

Cheers bud, glad you like it.

It's actually Cirrus Blue but the two colours are very, very similar. That's all factory paint, impressive for a car that's been on British roads for nearly 30 years.

What a cream puff! Interesting how the pictures of your e30 look more like glacier blue than cirrus to me. Maybe it's the light, but it just looks like a lighter/brighter color than mine. Anyway, very good looking car.

          Welcome!

I haven't seen too many cirrus verts and I wish the body of mine was a clean as yours! Very jealous!

Really? Just looked at yours and it looks well tidy, and that hard top looks sweet. The hard tops are worth silly money here, the people who have them just wont sell 'em.

The pictures flatter my car, it needs a bit of tidying. It's off for some paint as soon as I can sell the Honda.

Definitely Cirrusblau, the colour code sticker is in the engine bay. Must be the thick layer of wax it's always wearing.

Cheers bud, I'm a mobile valeter / detailer so running dirty cars is bad for business.

She's a pampered machine, has been all her life. Last owner was a French interior designer, lovely lady called Monique. She spent a fortune keeping it looking as good as it is. I'm no mechanic, so I always look for light projects. This car was perfect, mechanically spot on, just needs bit of bodywork, tidying up, stuff I can handle. I'll add updates as they happen.

Nothing beats a moody sepia shot. This was taken just after I bought the car.

The day job. Brand new Range Rover Autoboigraphy edition, £100k to you sir. Prep for collection by a customer.

Shocking picture, doesn't do it justice. It was sooo shiny it looked like it was made of that liquid metal off the Terminator.

Update - the Honda sold today, I now have the funds for attacking the rust on the E30 and some shiny new paint. Booking the car in tomorrow with the paintshop, rust pictures coming.

For the So-Cal boys rust is that reddish brown stuff that lives under wheel arches and at the bottom of the b-pillar and makes your car faster as it's lighter.

                          Update time!

Car goes into the shop Friday, on my birthday. I'm working on the car over the weekend, with my tamed welder booked in on Saturday. So... the parts list.

Offside and nearside rear quarter panels
                          New boot and bonnet badges
New front / rear plates - 80s style pressed aluminium
Boot rubber seal from the breakers

                          and the big one...
A period set of 15" BBS alloys (non BMW OEM) freshly refurbished and painted Old English White

Game plan - both sills taken back to bare metal, minor repairs where necessary, repaint, new stoneproofing. Same for rear valence, sort bodgy repair full of filler. Bit of old school panel beating on the rear bumper to remove small dent. Cut out old rear arches and weld in new panels. Polish all the chromework. Repaint bumper end caps. Fit new shiny bits.

Have car ready for first spring meet on the 1st March.

                          Updates to follow...

The before shot. 'orrible 'orrible rust. Look at that scabby bumper cap. I'm sorry but the Beast deserves better.

Before shot 2 - scabby old number plate about to go. See the bodge repair on the rear valence? Right on the corner, big lump of filler hiding right there. But not for much longer!

                                So it begins....
Finished work early so thought I'd crack on with a few easy jobs. First these two 27 year old Pioneers came out. They were shot! Replaced with two salvage OEM replacements, and result! No more distortion, it now sounds like an 80s stereo.
